Rene O. Villanueva

Rene O. Villanueva, a Filipino dramatist and children’s book author who lived from September 1954 to December 2007, made his mark on Philippine literature in the late 1970s and far into the first decade of the twenty-first century. Peter Solis Nery

Filipino poet, fiction writer, and author Peter Solis Nery were born on January 6th, 1969. He has won prestigious literary competitions in his native Hiligaynon language, including the All-Western Visayas Literary Contest of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, the Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature, and the Literary Grant from the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) (NCCA). In 2012, he was admitted into the Hall of Fame for the Palanca Awards.

Patrico Mariano Geronimo

Patricio Mariano y Geronimo was born on March 17, 1877 in Santa Cruz, Manila to Petronilo Mariano and Dionisia Geronimo. He was a playwright, poet, journalist, violinist, and painter. Ateneo Municipal and San Juan de Letran are where Patricio Mariano completed his secondary education. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the Liceo de Manila after studying bookkeeping at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios.

Liza Magtoto is a Filipino playwright, scriptwriter, feature writer, and editor best known for her works “Game of Trolls,” “Care Divas,” and “Rak of Aegis.” Her work has also been featured prominently at the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Virgin Labfest and the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival.
